SWIMSHOP - not very helpful today :(

Hi , I felt the need to have a rant..... Feedback : Customer service at Swimshop - today was Poor ...
Ive just phoned Swimshop from my mobile , as my home pc was playing up this morning , so asked if they could assist as I need a bulk order of speedsocket goggles for our swim club to be delivered before Saturday as kids got a gala ...Ive ordered heaps of stuff from them before....

Lady who answered the phone was not very helpful, I gave her my address etc , as hadnt got any invoice numbers on me ( as I was in my car !) . Said I would have to order online and she wouldnt be able to give me discount , if not ordering on line ... explained .... my Pc wasnt working!....... but I have ordered stuff over the phone before , could she not assist :banghead:

Im going to phone Mailsports or Allenswear who are much nicer and will get them to me tomorrow .... and I shant be phoning Swimshop again ..... grrr :mad:

Note: Allenswear tel 01827 330600 - Ive ordered via phone and 10% discount given, just £1 extra for 1st class post to ensure delivery tomorrow - Now thats what I call good service...... and the chappy was very helpful ... recommended ....

Mailsports has excellent customer service. I get a discount online but when I phoned up I managed to get it over the phone. Yes some of the people who work there know me but they are so helpful.

The very opposite for myself. I've had in my own opinion extremely poor service from mailsport , yet have just been dealing with swimshop amongst other online retailers of whom have all been fine.

i've found that swimshop are very good when stuff is in stock and pretty poor when out of stock but then thats true for a lot of ecommerce sites, lack of integration between the web and the back end stock control.

What was the price comparrason? With discount from Allenswear, or without from Swimshop? Was the starting price the same?

Ordering something today from swimshop Mrs T had a problem with the security certificate - she called swimshop and as there was a problem online she managed to get the online price by phone,including their 15% december discount!

By all accounts they seemed very helpful today - may depend on who you talk to there I guess...
