I'm underwhelmed by the results service at these champs!!! Last year they were live. Even the results from the backwater of Monterrey were live!

There was a time when you had to wait a month to read the results in the Swimming Times. Now we take it for granted that we can get instant results. Certainly makes following the sport more interesting. All the more disappointing to see the poor performance of this service!

Only info I have been able to get is that Chris W-H has gone 56.0 in his 100 back heat this morning. So thats better form than the worlds!

A few good results so far - te pick of the bunch being Anna Bochmannwinning the 400IM in a swift 4.46. The 4 x 100 free boys were very unlucky not to medal in a very high fast final

Yep. Looking good for today as well. We have four swimmers in the 200IM semi's and I think Robbie was not at his fastest after a good show in the 200 fly.

Hoping Chris can put it all together for a gold in the 100 back.

Belgrade is 1 hour in front so that action starts a 4 our time.

The Juniors seem to be in good shape - both in Belgrade and in Sheffield, many impressive results putting these youngsters in a good position compared to the 18+ swimmers. Hope they are able to maintain and improve over the next 4 years.

Awesome time from Xav and I'm sure he'll be happy with that seeing as he hasn't been too happy with some of his swim lately.

Great swim from Chris W-H. I bet Marco will be happy for him after he beat his record!!! Did Chris carry on the tradition and cry when he won :D

yeah some really excellent swimming from the junior team. I wouldn't bet against that boys 4 x 100 medley team being in London in 4 years time! As i think i mentioned before somewhere, it's good to see the boys team coming through ith so many strong swims after being in the shadow of the girls for the last couple of years at european juniors.

Well done all!

Some very good results from all over the world from the juniors. They will be up there at 2012 and 2016. They need to have sponsorship deals now. I know some of them are linked to Team Speedo but we never really have swimmers being sponsored by big companies like in the States. It would take some pressure off BS when it comes to funding these swimmers as they get older.

Apostle
04-08-2008, 12:44 PM
Talking about sponsorship. Did I read in the news that Britains olympic boxers would have to retrn their funding if they went pro after the games. All 75k a year of it. Is that right?
