I've never competed at a National event but might have a go next year. But there appears to be more than 1.
A GB masters and an ASA masters, whats the difference and is one better than the other.

I only swim in 25m pools but should I consider doing 50m pool for the nationals or stick with 25m ?

Any advice welcome

Cheers

The GB Masters are always held long course (50m pool) in may/june and are in the new pool in Swansea in 2003.

The ASA Nationals are always held short course (25m pool) at Pond's Forge in Sheffield in October/november.

It's worth doing both if you can make it - there are genrally fewer people at the GB champs, and swimming long course is certainly an experience! However if you're only goign to do 1 of the two, my bet would be on the ASA nationals, because Ponds Forge is fantastic!
