I just have a quick question:
When i do breast stroke, should i be doing the arm and leg action simlutaniously or alternately?

The pull and kick should be alternate. Timing of the stroke is complicated and does vary. I usually tell younger swimmers to kick the hands forward; which means that when you kick back you recover your arms to the stretched position. Keep to this rather than get involved in late kicking as this suits only certain types of swimmers.

if you're a little more advanced...I find that my coach tells me, and I try to do this...yes kick your arms forward but before you kick begin the pushing of the arms forward, its is very quick and requires practice, so that as you kick your arms are already moving forward...if you understand what i mean then i can tell you that i've knocked 3 seconds off my 100m pb since feb last year, 3 secs in 8 months is good for me!
