Has anyone ever trained in the new pool at Stirling? I really like it but because it's not meant for competitions there's no cafe and the spectators area is really small too.

Its a great facility but has one major problem - the air temperature on poolside is way too hot!

Yeah, i agree about it being too hot. Sometimes we have to run around the poolside for land training and it get's so hot.

yes i have trained there, did a full weekend there

Is it as nice as/nicer than Tollcross?

No, Tollcross is a lot better competition wise. Stirling is only meant to be a training pool so it isn't very big but it's great for training in.

I have done a weeks trainin camp there. The pool is great 2 train in. It is good 2 have the small gym right beside the pool and has good equipment. Food in the uni left a lot 2 b desired!!!!!!!

Has anyone looked through the small glass window in the end lane??? I swam down once to have a peep and got the fright of my life when a shadow came right up against the window that looked identical to a shark!!!! It's really scary, have a look when you're there next!

The shark's been named 'Freddy' by the way!

could not tell u about tolcross as i have never swam there

Stirling is intended just to be a training pit i think, still a nice pool though

i have also raced there but i can not remember what my time was so i don't know if it is a fast pool or not.
