One of my all-time favourite songs is 'Foundations' by The Beautiful South. Anyone know that song?

What's your favourite?

There are so many good songs out there. Streetlife by the Crusaders (featuring Randy Crawford) is still good after all these years.
Another great song is Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd; due to be a big hit again me thinks.
Of recent songs it has to be Don't Know Why by Norah Jones. That gives me goosebumps.

Bringing back an old thread. Hopefully it will get our new friends interested in OFF-TOPIC.
Two songs come to mind that I find myself humming and enjoying are "Feeler" Pete Murray http://www.petemurray.com and "I Got in a fight" Original Cast: http://www.originalcast.co.uk
Two very different artists but enjoy both artists.

At the moment I am constantly playing Most Precious Love (Freemasons Club Mix) by Blaze feat. Barbara Tucker. It is way ahead of all my other songs on my iTunes play count and at a whopping 9 minutes long, that is a lot of love!

Like it a lot, but very James Blunt-y. Does anyone know the name of the song that I think comes from Dr Who - automatic monster or something like that. Who is the singer?

I love Tara Blaise at the mo - great voice:)

Time, Pink Floyd

I could name about 30-40 Beatles songs that are close runners up.

Queen is also excellent, as is Zep, ACDC, GnR.

In a totally different style, Equus and October are also great.

Glad to see that there are other oldies lovers out there.

India Arie's new album "Life and Relationship" is fantastic. I really like the Summer feel of "Better People" ; great lyrics! a few more people around the world should listen to what she is saying.

For all round superstardom...There's only one....Donny Osmond anything by him or Ella Fitzgerald's song book collections especially the Gershwin and the Cole Porter ones.

But also "Should I stay or should I go" by the Clash, "Down in a Tubestation at midnight" The Jam, "Waiting in Vain" Bob Marley, "Holiday" Madonna, "My Way" Sid Vicious, "Up on the Roof" Carole King, ""Thru being Cool" Devo, "Where's Capt Kirk" Spizzenergi (Bob made me put that one in) "Love will tear us Apart" Joy Division, Jungleland & Thunder road Bruce Springsteen, There's a theme developing here (Soundtrack of a drunken youth ) and I'm probably giving my age away.
