View Full Version : Welsh Age Group/Youth Championships 2003

Good Luck to all competing in the Welsh National Championships which start tomorrow.
I am sure we will bump into each other Phil as our daughters compete in the same age group, but anyone else from SwimClub going?
It will be our first chance to see the pool now it has been completed, as it was still under construction when we attended a Uni Open Day visit earlier on this year with our son. I hear from members of our club who attended the Swansea Meet last week that its a good pool, but very hot for the spectators (now there's a novelty!)

We're a team of one swimmer/one parent on poolside/one in the gallery, with a possible guest appearance from a grandparent or two and just possibly an uncle, so I'll be a bit conspicuous yelling my head off. (Another girl is listed as with our club, but that's an error.)
I assume you've seen it, but the draft programme is up at www.nofiocymru.ndo.co.uk (Major ructions at home when she pointed out we had entered her short-course time for the 200 IM and her LC is six seconds slower...)

We are like you just one swimmer/one parent plus one upstairs. Perhaps we could team up and yell together! No aunts or uncles left now in Swansea as they have emigrated to France. No valley drizzle there! We are the only competitors from City of Coventry this year and so we are easy to spot. Leaving here at lunchtime and so not much more time on the internet. See you there.
Daughter thrilled to bits and excited at being ranked number 1 in the 200 breast, but hey many a slip......

I think they will (eventually) be at www.nofiocymru.co.uk !

Haven't checked yet, but if they aren't already at www.nofiocymru.ndo.co.uk they will be soon.
Excellent meet, as always. Most of all, people are just so friendly. Not a huge entry standard to get in, but the atmosphere is always brilliant and even more so at the new venue. You could imagine a kid who maybe doesn't have great times taking part and getting the competition bug for life. Sport at its most inclusive.
And it ran like clockwork, with one announced delay which I think was down to parking problems outside.

The results can indeed now be found at www.nofiocymru.ndo.co.uk
