:) He did ok..did a one 7 second pb and one 6 second pb (those from the Hereford Open meet that was in Oct/Nov).. placed 5th in the breast which is his 3rd stroke.. but right now he has gone down with a throat infection. bad timing as he has the 200 & 400 free at the weekend, but I am sure he will do his best. :king:

I have a Q!!! having come from Bucks & Berks I am just curious as to why there are no qualifying times for the Somersets.. Is it the ONLY county that doesn't have QT's?

There are no qualifying times as the county see it as a participation thing. They want to give the oppertunity for swims to as many swimmers as possible.
This is a good thing and promotes swimming in the area, it doesnt really affect the faster end of the county programme.
There was a concern the morning sessions were too long and the may have to bring in considerations or qualifying times??

Nope not a very big club, but as you say one of the nicer pools in the area..clean and with good spectator facilities..Hutton Moor (Weston Super Mare) which is where 2 of the 3 Somerset Counties are held is very similar to Maidenhead.. Only difference is the the beach is about 5 minutes away!!! :rainbow:
