That's fine, Swimmer. She has been unwell since last October and has had numerous blood tests to find out what's wrong. She is having acupuncture at the moment and it seems to be working, but she is only training 3 times a week. We don't want to push it. Shame about the timing, though. It would have been great to be there and see the best in action.

Karen Pickering made the team then. I think that's pretty good, because she's so experienced in these competitions, and she may be needed in a 4 x 200m free team containing 2 relatively inexperienced swimmers (Jackson and McClatchey). I think it's a real shame Janine Belton missed the squad though.

i just read on Ceefax that Janine Belton has decided to retire having not made the team. Understandable given the disappointment but still a shame as at 24 she would still have plenty of good years left

Where is the list of relay swimmers?(in fact a list of the whole team would be great :p) I read in the paper today one of our local swimmers made the team but it didn't specify....
