training camps?

Hi

I wondered if there are any training camps (club la santa etc)organised during school holiday times?

All training camps I hear of seem to be during term time where obviously flights are cheaper.

Being a teacher this is not posible for me.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

You could do worse than contact Bluewater Training Camps, http://www.bluewatertrainingcamps.co.uk/index.htm. I haven't been on one of their camps myself but I know of several adults who have done and had a blast, and significant improvements in technique.

Are you a Masters swimmer looking to join a training camp, or are you a parent looking to find a camp for your kids?

If it's the latter, I think that most camps are organised by the swimming clubs for their own swimmers ........

(I'm sure someone will pop by in a second and add something more useful!!!!)

I know Spencer Swim Team run a Masters Training Camp but I think they go in off-peak times, they are open to guests going if I understand it from one of their coaches.

Barnet Copthall Masters go to La Santa at least once a year as a club, with smaller groups going a couple more times for good measure.

Unfortunately we always go during term time as it is shocklingly expensive during the holidays - plus the place becomes packed with kids.

I'm pretty sure the camps are open during the holidays so it might be worth contacting them directly and seeing what kind of coaching they offer for individuals during that period.
