Does anyone think that you can swim in your favorite pool too much?? Around here the big championships are swum in one of two pools. And even on the zone level here theres basically one venue where they keep holding meets. I know that a fast pool is always going to be fast, but sometimes I think swimming one place too much makes it less special to be there and harder to get motivated. any thoughts.....

I'm not sure about favourites, but here (as opposed to in the USA or Aus) we don't exactly have a surplus of good 50m pools - Crystal Palace (a bit of a dump at best, imho!) is used for some of the County Champs and SCASA (Southern Counties), and for the past few years, Ponds Forge in Sheffield has been the venue for the Nationals.
Ponds Forge is a good pool, but a bit far to travel to it often, so not sick of it yet!

Im getting fairly bored of swimming at Sheffield. It isnt a bad thing particulary because i have always swam well there except for the Olympic Trials

Unfortunately it is the pest pool in the country and therefore all the major meets are held there. I remember a few years ago when the Nationals were changed each year, one year at Leeds, one at Coventry etc.

It would be good to have enough pools of an appropriate standard to move the competitions around the country.

Swansea has a small swimdown pool, Manchester, I'd like to say Norwich, but there's no swimdown facility, although they have talked about putting a bath tub in the car park for "big meets"
