Is Karen Nisbet Scottish? Or is this the flow of swimmers across the boarders starting pre-commonwealth games?! Or (lane4) does she have a Scottish grandparent!!!!!!

I'm not sure about Karen Nisbit being Scottish. You must have heard something that I haven't!? However, I did hear that another girl swimmer has claimed Scottish nationality through her mother because she did not think she could make the England team for the Games. I suppose this could be Nisbit with the strength of womens 200 free at present but I'm not confirmed on that. Anyway, the exodus north started a while back with the likes of Todd Cooper, Bradley Hay and Chris Jones all foregoing their English roots and proclaiming their future as Scots after living here a few months. It does seem though, that everytime the Commy Games come around, lots of people suddenly find Scottish parents that they previously thought they did not have!
