Ian Edmond was sensationally disqualified from the 200 breaststroke semi-final at the world championships today. Having swum a great race to finish in 2:12, the 4th ranked time from the two semis, he found himself DQ'd for doing a dolphin kick coming out of the turn! It is not the first time Edmond has found himself at odds with the race judges for this illegal stroke technique, having been 'done' for it a number of times in the past feew years. He must be gutted as he should have known better!
