The Draft Programme is now available here (http://www.sportcentric.com/vsite/vfile/page/fileurl/0,11040,4716-151021-168237-61712-0-file,00.pdf) for the Championships on 16-18 July.

Best of Luck to Katie and all other swimclub members competing. :D :)

Thanks Mad4it! I have to say I thought a few more people might enter this year, what with the Olympic team having to go! But it looks much the same as last year: if you're doing two events a session you may as well get out and line straight back up behind your block again!!! :)

It is a shame that the National Championships has such a low profile :(

There are a few giggles in there too - can you imagine Sarah Price taking 12:06.00 to do 200 back, or Mark Foster doing 100 free in 10:50.20?! I know he's too slow :) to go to Athens but he'd have to be wearing a full diving suit complete with iron boots to do it at that speed! And who's doing 50 back at 10:30.11?

Those are short course entry times - they have had 10 minutes added for seeding purposes.

Is this another example of trying to do something the meet management software doesn't support and having to do it in a really nasty, unprofessional way?

Thats what it looks like. I can't believe that the software used can't handle seeding SC times after the LC times. I wrote a basic software for our summer league and even it can handle putting the meter times after the yard times!

Foster posts a fast(ish) heat swim in 22.50 this morning.

Sheppard also posts 25.32 for 50 Free.

I'd say the best swim of the morning would be in the 200BC from Elizabeth Simmonds 2.17.65, that girl is gonna be unbeatable at Nationals!

I wonder why Georgina Lee and Ros Brett never swam in the womens 100fly heats this morning? Brett later swam in the 50 Free tho.. ? ?

2.14.31 in final for Simmonds, superb stuff. Touched out by Marshall and Price and beats Lee into 5th. Impressive.

There were some great swims this weekend - some good form from many of our Olympic team. Simmonds really is one to watch in the future...

I don't think I've ever seen such a close 1500m as this evening's one - 1st and 2nd within a half second of each other and 3rd and 4th within a half second of each other. Brilliant to see all four swimmers pushing themselves right at the end.

Also good to see two world records in the same race this evening :)

shes faster than me  o well she does have huge potential at this rate. She is also faster than any boy in her age group! :clear: what is the junior record? surely she must be close.

The 13 Yr British Age Group Record stands at 2.14.84, so it looks like she's got that one under her belt. :D However Steph Proud's time of 2.12.22 is the English & British Junior Record time.

although steph proud did a 2.11.85 at EJC so will this count as a BJR or just as an age record? i noticed that simmonds time would hav won her a silver medal at the EJC behind proud even though shes still 2 years 2 young 2 be at the championships! how amazin is that! :rainbow:

Also Rachel George from Hatfield went 2.04.9 in the 200 free, and she's only 14 so that's pretty impressive!! :)

Thank you Matt and Katie for noticing some very good swims. It gives these younger swimmers encouragement to know that someone other than their coach and parents have appreciated their efforts
