The East District are changing their Open event 3/4 November to a 1 day event (3rd) due to lack of entries. Only 59 boys and 61 girls have entered the meet. Along with the East's decision to withdraw from the Inter-Counties meet this year I think this marks a sad time for East District swimming. Have rising entry fees affected the entry at this meet or is it other reasons?
