simple and cheap way: print out a sheet - grid say for a 1-30 set with colums for rpe/hr/time/sr etc, laminate it with a little bit of extra plastic at the top so you can punch a whole through it (not through the paper or it water will get in), buy a chinagraph pencil (about £1.20) from a good stationary shop, with a bit of string tie it through the whole you made - et voila! tip: coat the chinagraph pencil in brown tape to prevent it disintegrating! worked fine with me! if you want to spend a lot of money though - you can get the hard boards from diving shops.

Thanks a lot

Do you have any links to the "diving shops" and if all else fails i will use your method

Also, you can get them from here: http://www.swimtecheartrateuk.com/index_1.htm

Yeh these are the ones we use here (http://www.swimtecheartrateuk.com/images/workout_recorders.jpg).
They are pretty good because you can use a standard pencil and don't have the extra expense of a special one.

Yes, and it's 'columns' not 'colums' while we're being pernickity (sic?).

And when you order from swimtec be sure to mention that you were referred by Swimtec's 'Scottish Agent'.

Can I join in this barracking? Albeit at a late stage.

Although all shops are stationary, unless we refer to mobile libraries, I think you mean stationery.
