What were your best and worst bits of 2004?
Best bits have to be:
1. Getting pb times that I thought were impossible and then beating them several times :flash:
2. Reducing several dress sizes

Worst bits are work related - has to have been the worst year ever at work, but managed to survive, against all odds, which my integrity in tact. :banghead: I think the main reason I survived was the strong support that swimming provides me, both in terms of the sport itself and the people you meet along the way. :king:

Best bits: passing my exams with AABC, going sub 1.10 for 100fly at long last! turning 17 and being able to learn to drive!

Worst bits: going 10.08 LC for 800fr :shocking:, leaving school and my friends, and not qualifying for ASAs last August.

All in all tho, a very good year, and a good hogmanay party last night to finish it all off  :D

Best bits:
* Nationals, did so much better than expected!
* My mum and step-dad's wedding
* Getting my confidence back

And I don't think I've had a really really bad part, but there's been lots of little things that have got me down throughout the year.

Best bits: making 2 semis at the Olympic Trials, and 2 finals at the British SC, getting my A level grades for Nottingham, having a crazy 18th bday party and going to the panto with my squad last Monday!!!
Worst bits: hmmmm a few things got me down along the way but nothing stands out as having been terrible! It was a good year :D. Maybe waiting for exam results was pretty awful though!

Happy new year everyone! Hope 2005's excellent :)

My best bits of 2004 were getting a lot of p.bs! winning lots of things and did well at school. the bad things were some dissapointments in swimming and being falsely accused at my club for things i hadn't done.

Best Bits have got to be hitting PB after PB ealy in the year and the occasional one towards the end of the year; Worst bit has got to be a bereavement in the family.

The year I decided to do something for myself rather than continually doing things for others (not that I want to stop doing things for others).

Swimming wise I'm petty glad to see the back of 2004, although there were highlights out of the water. Just one PB though. :(

I just thought of a good moment for me, when I got my exam results. Also when I went to Italy that was a highlight for sure oh and the Geography fieldtrip that was quite a lot of fun.

I didn't really have a good swimming year, the one before that wasn't great either.

Best bits are pretty much all swimming-related, and more importantly, swimming-people-related. Had some superb away trips with some very good wrinkly friends (Palma, Sheffield, Dublin all way up there). My oldest SC PB is now 1st Nov this year, so they've been dropping like lead weights.
Worst bits I won't mention. I wouldn't like to sound too much like ktc but it got pretty horrid in the middle there. Unfortunately this year looks like it's going to be really, really horrid on the personal side of things so I'll just have to really get in that pool and hammer away at the swimming so I can have some more good best bits to write about at the end of the year.
