I swam at the city of peterborough open meet. All my swims were pretty bad! But that was what was going to happen after i pb'd in everything at counties!

i swam there!! my swims were really bad too except my 50 fly that was ok not a pb though what did you swim there?

No Fear!!
10-04-2005, 11:09 AM
50 back, 100 back, 400 free, 50 breast, 200 free, 100 free and 50 free. I was about a second or two out of my pb in all of them. i suppose that's not too bad on the 400! My worse event was the 100 back. What did you swim? Saturday was a long day wasn't it?!

KJ89
10-04-2005, 12:25 PM
i was only there sunday didnt go saturday because i was only supposed to be doing the 100 fly but i got my NQT at counties so there wasnt much point in doing it. I did 50, 100free and 50 fly were you in the last heat of the free?

No Fear!!
11-04-2005, 06:54 AM

well had a ok weekend best bit was getting to see my mates but anyway my 200free on saturday was shockingly bad not even going to repet the time but it was 6 seconds off my pb no idea why came about 20th lol. So sunday i did 200 fly and 50 free the 200fly shocked me i did moreorless on my pb and got to the final which after yesterday cheered me up a bit and my f/c was ok just off my pb in 10th. In the final i came 3rd in another pb so got bronze :) then today i did 100fly and 100free the 100 fly heat i did a pb lc and qualified for the final in 2nd and the free i came 12th just off my pb. The final was ok i did a pb lc and got my national time lc (already had it short) and came 3rd so it was an ok weekend overall for me.
Vulcans won 2 out of the 3 girls relays one by default after Co birmingham got DQ'd dont ask how 2 of the medals ended up at the bottom of the diving pit -well done liz it was funny watching them trying to retrieve them lol

It wasn't too bad. My times were alright but i felt i could have done better. It probably didn't help that my shoulder started playing up yesterday! My 200 was a lc pb - but it wasn't that good!!I haven't swam it for a year though! My 50 was disappointing because i swam slower (just!)than i did last year. i wanted to get my national but i missed it by nearly a second!!My 100 wasn't too bad but it wasn't a pb. I did 3 relays and my times were pretty good. we didn't really get anywhere though! overall i suppose it was an average weekend so i can't be too disappointed. my shoulder hurts a lot though!! natasha was in the skins wasn't she? that looked tough! :)

im in east midlands next year so we could be anywhere the only 50m pool in the region is Loughborough but the spectator area there is very small. At least most of my friends are still in the same region. It seems strange that people you have swum against at districts for so long are now not going to be swimming against you at regionals but hopefully that means it may be easier to get medals :)

Will the qualifying times change by much, if at all?
