I have just put this message on the Hampshire County Web site. I am repeating it here in the hopes of reaching people who might not check the county Web site:
As of Thursday June 2nd, we have NOT received entries from the following clubs who entered last year: Guernsey, Havant & Waterlooville, Locksheath, Ringwood, Tigers. If you have sent entries, please contact us so that we can try to locate them before the closing date.
In processing entries we are checking times against the ASA Ranking files. We have found a number of cases where submitted times are significantly slower than those on the rankings, apparerently because the time on the rankings is faster than the limit time for this competition. These entries will be rejected.

Thanks for the update mike.
Well done on comparing entry times against rankings, an arduous task but unfortunately necessary. I can see no excuse for this - what pleasure would anyone get from winning an event that they should not ever have entered?
There were a number of rejected swimmers last year, and Hants have taken the step of stopping events for ages 15 and above. This seems a good step for what is stated to be a Development meet. It is to be hoped that the time saving will enable all swimmers to be accepted.
Hants swimmers who did not receive an award in County champs (I assume the top 15 unless there were less than 20 in an age group) are allowed to compete.
Good initiatives and it will be interesting to see how this all works .

Today's post has come and gone and we still don't have any entries from Locksheath. Today is the closing date.

Does that mean you heard from all the others! No doubt you will get a late night visitor from Locksheath tramping up the drive.

I've emailed to bring this thread to the attention of Guernsey and Tigers.

Entries have now closed. All swimmers who have entered a full BAGCAT programme have been accepted. (Because the meet is over-subscribed, swimmers who have not entered a full BAGCAT programme have not been accepted).
