ebay is the easiest place to get japan fastskins,
but if you want custom stuff that has to be through somebody in mizuno, the parent company of speedo.
The prices in comparison to GB to get cheaper as the item is bigger. So a bodyskin is a lot cheaper compared to GB prices than a costume compared to GB prices.

On a Japanese site I found a recordbreaker FSII that I really like. Could your friend order this for me in a size 26"?. The type nur. is 11 (blue and royal blue) and what would be the price including shipping to the Netherlands?
The site I found it is:

Hoping to hear from you soon,

Do you think that the japense suits are not cut differently. I have had a few and i think the straps are thinner than on british speedo costumes. Also i have heard they are of lesser quality though i am not sure if that is true? thanks aswim

The people in Japan/Hong Kong often charge in US Dollars because they're easier for them to use and exchange.
Sterling's no good for them.
If anyone's offering to supply you Fastskins and allowing you to pay in Pounds, make sure they don't rip you off!
To give you an idea, these are the prices you can get Fastskins from Japan for (and for a rough Sterling equivalent divide the prices on the pictures by 1.75):

Arena have really odd sizes (the powerskin does anyway) - a 26" arena suit will be normal round the waist but have ridiculously small legs, probably around what you would find on a 22" - 24" speedo. Don't risk it unless you've tried one on and your sure it fits!

Edit: Sorry ... that wasn't very helpful! Depends how tall you are, etc etc. If you're normally a 26/27 I'd say you'd probably fit an "M" suit (but I'm a bloke so don't hold me to that!)

I've just discovered swimsuits from Japan but am still confused as to the sizing; I usually wear a 32 US size women's tank and by the Speedo Japan size chart would take a size M, but the actual suit measurements seem really small. Also, I've read that the size M is equivalent to a US size 28 which would obviously be too small. Can anyone help? Thanks!

There's a few on ebay (http://search.ebay.co.uk/aile-bleue-arena) but they're in the far east (but I've had no problems with customs on any of my suits.

Well you're not gonna get any of that around here! ;)
It varies from swimmer to swimmer. I would say that an open-back legskin would be ideal for an 800 because there's very little restriction on the shoulders which do most (perhaps) of the work in long distance fresstyle, whilst also giving you the support/bouyancy (!!) for your legs.
But .... like I say, it will vary from person to person. If you haven't swum a top-level competition in the suit before, maybe it's not the best time to try it!

Legskin is the best for long events because they don't kill your shoulders
Does any english/european shop/site sells these suits? I saw a girl in a white and pink fastskin, not that i want one (im a guy) but i want the other colors (like the one Mark Fosters wears [black, gray, light blue]) and of course im in love with Aile Bleue suits now with new colors!:flash: :flash: and custom colors and naming you gotta love the japs.
Any way of getting these suits Both speedo and arena ones from the internet besides eBay ?

I bought the Arena Aile-Bleue's you're talking about and Speedo Fastskins in loads of colours they don't sell here from a company, they hadn't set up a website when I bought my costume but their email address is:
fast_swimmers@yahoo.co.uk
If you email them, they will send you their Speedo and Arena catalogue. My costume took about 2 weeks to come but it was much cheaper as its an all inclusive price (including import tax etc), and much less hassle than when I did it myself.
I hope this helps!
