No mention so far about this competition happening this weekend...is it becasue no one is going ? :rolleyes:

I have entered and will swim there Sunday morning.

I heard they are doing entry on the day.

I think the problem with Leeds' pool is the answer. They are in the process of building a new pool so I've heard...got relatives in Leeds...and so are not spending any money on the old place. Have swum there many times and the place gets worse each time. They even have the cheek to charge you for the pool car park. It's not as if you've not spent any money on the meet.

The ceiling is a nightmare for backstrokers and the changing rooms are always too cold in winter and boiling hot in the summer.

I did not pay anything to park my car right next to the pool. :p

I understand what you are saying about the roof, but they found a way round it by hanging out pieces of strings above the pool parallel to the lanes backstrokers can follow.

I guess the pool in itself is getting a bit old yes, but nothing worse than Crystal Palace to me...

...and finally, I hope it is meant to be not a very fast pool as I did not do brilliant ! :cry: due to the hard sessions I have had rescently I guess, as I am working very hard for Sweden :)

Yes it was certainly shrinking but, having said that, seemed to be well organised and ran very smoothly.

The entire programme was compressed down into 2 x 2 hr sessions - one on each day - due to the small number of entries.

In light of our performances, most of my team and I decided that times are not important at this time of year / training cycle.
