I'll be competitng at my first Masters Nationals soon and I've just looked at the Meet programme (results section @ <a href="http://www.m-swim.co.uk">M-SWIM</a>)and would like to know if anyone has any tips to help me sit through the 30 heats of the men's 100m Freestyle?

Watch every single heat! Watch the starts, turns and finishes of as many swimmers as possible. Tell yourself you can do better than all of them. Listening to music on a walkman also helps. Start with peacefull relaxing music, as your heat draws nearer make sure you listen to something heavy and loud with a good aggresive beat.Win your heat!!!!
