Not clear if it only for 2008 or not. 50m form events Rejected.

P.S. Does this free up lottery funding for Open Water? If so will it come out of the "swimming" budget?

Yes, Grant Hackett is indeed considering the race, but wants it to be swum after the swimming pool events so it won't conflict with the 1500m. I hope the powers that be do reschedule it, as I would dearly love to see him compete in an open water event. So would millions of other Aussies.

There's a massive difference between 1500m and 10km, trust me I have done it. I think he would find it hard
