Welcome back mate. Was just wondering why they couldn't have a male relay team with the four males already in the team. Any ideas!

Good to have you back

Sean

p.s. will be back home in July for 5 weeks for Dan H's wedding.

Good to hear you're coming over mate.

Pongo has to leave the team before the end of the swimming because of commitments in the US apparently.

NCAA's I do believe. Commonwealth's mean nothing to the USA (and it's them paying for Ian's education!)

Yes, I heard that one of my friends at a college in America may not be able to compete in the Commonwealths - even though he'd definitely final - because he's needed for the NCAAs and his coach isn't too keen on him being out in Australia just before!

Let's hope this doesn't apply to a certain Mr Burnett!

Figure that a full scholarship for four years is a $100K investment in a swimmer at a public university (out of state tuition, room & board, books, training expenses, etc.) and significantly more than that at a private university, and it's understandable why a coach wants their swimmers to put the NCAA championships first when it comes to winter calendar.
