2 Open Water Swims in Anglesey

We have 2 open water swim this year, excerpts taken from my club newsletter. If anyone wants an application form send me a message with your email address and I'll get them to you.

The annual swim of the Menai Straits is provisionally scheduled for Saturday 29th July. It starts from Foel on Anglesey and finishes in Caernarfon (about 1 mile). The club is currently looking at increasing the distance to 2km to make it a more standard distance.

Pier to Pier Open-water Swim. This is a timed swim across the Menai Staits from Beaumaris Pier to Bangor Pier (approx. 2 miles). It's tide-assisted and should take under 1 hour with each swimmer accompanied by kayaks. This is provisionally scheduled for Saturday August 12th.

I think somewhere in a red-wine-fuelled mist in Dover Town Hall on Saturday night efitz and I agreed to have a go at one of these. Possibly even with a further two glamorous (Lady) Masters of cross-channel relay fame who dont subscribe to these pages. So please pm me an entry form.
