Ours never closed, though it's 50 yards not 50 metres and the council stuck a wall down the middle so now it's about 30 yards one side and 20 the other! What a waste! The slides are good though :-)

i have a lido i love it! and its always busy in the summer

the thing is.......its freezing! and also at the shallow end its probably about 2 yards deep - surely these things affect swimming? i mean for a start my muscles felt odd lol

Very astute observation, but, as you will see from the link, a lot of people just get in and get going!

Our Guildford Lido is 50m and heated (for the softy Southerners amongst which I now reside) but is bliss on spring/summer late autumn mornings.
