I have been to about 6 swimming sessions so far, including so many where Australia has been beaten badly, I have not heard anyone booing what so ever? This thread on the Five Live message board is about people booing. Has sound from the crowd been coming through English telly as booing? I really haven't heard a negative thing in the audience at all. Is it a load of rubbish? Has anyone else heard what they thought was booing?

I didn't hear any.... it must hurt that Britain have won ten golds to Australia's 9 but the atmosphere seems great and people I know on poolside have also confirmed that there is no booing

I don't have it recorded but when they were introducing one of the female heats there was something that sounded very much like that.
That was on TV last night one of the early 50 heats.
If you have a recording maybe you could play it back and see what you think.

I've been at every session and there has definitely been NO booing whatsoever at any time.

I've not heard anything on any of the coverage I've seen (and thank god I don't visit that 5 Live discussion ..... what a load of rubbish!)

I'm glad most people seem to have not heard anything and as you say Lane4 you were also there and didn't hear a thing. I am glad to be there, you know Aussie Channel 9 don't show any medal ceremonies they don't win in, sometimes they show an Aussie bronze and then stop it to avoid showing the other countries success in silver and gold. It's just silly, I certainly hope Britain is not so biased for the Olympics.
