-Yeah I am here, I managed to get tickets to the first days of the swimming. They are my photos, that's why they are a blurry and unprofessional looking.
Thanks. -Ian Thorpe was here one day, but he didn't sit with us common as muck types, but I saw him up on the big screen he had the pleasure of sitting with Condoleeza Rice...

Gallery 2. Medley relay heats start photo.
The New Zealand guy's feet are both out of the water while still on the pad. Did he start with some part of the foot below the surface of the water then "hop" up the wall during the start

They're allowed to be out of the water on the start now, aren't they?

Yep, recent rule change. As long as their not curled over a lip such as the edge etc, they're fine! No prob with his feet there!

Yes, my new toy - Canon EOS 350D with 75-300 EF lens :)

As for the medley start, he didn't move his feet but put them both out of the water as soon as he got in, in line with the recent rule change (its Scott Talbot of NZ BTW). He was the only swimmer I saw doing this, but it didn't seem to give him an obvious advantage.

Some great ones that you had there Steve! I've got quite a few good ones myself (front row seats on the finish line always come in handy for photos ;) ), might share one or two when I get back and sort them all out.
