Aargh - its says we need a paddler for the Straits swim. Where do we get them from? Is there a local club or something that can help? This is a bit of a downer as I neither have canoe nor paddle nor paddler.

Not sure why paddlers are required for everyone, maybe to do with how dangerous the straits can get. In the Llyn Padarn swim on 22nd July there are a few paddlers for everyone to share, not one each.

If you can;t bring a paddler with you I can ask my wife, who is at Bangor Uni, to see if I can get someone from the Uni canoe club. Only problem the races are out of term time, so the canoeist's may not be available.

I'll let you know if I can get any canoeist's

err JC, on future posts can we please use the word "challenging" instead of the one between "how" and "the"! This will stop either the Good Lady Leprechaun and indeed the Good Lady e-fitz getting too flustered about being able to cash in large insurance policies!!

It would be really useful if there were some locals who could paddle for us - eldest son has canoed but I fear I might be too distracted making sure he was Ok and not sea sick!!
