View Full Version : Satellites Open Meet Macclesfield
Hi, does anyone know the kind of level at this competition. A little bit worried as I have not trained for 2 weeks and only done bits and bobs in the pool whilst doing my diss. Stupidly i entered the 800m free....doh!
BTW I have finished my degree....YAY!!!

So I take it we won't see much of Chris on the forums for a little while once you get home... ;)

The 800 is first event on Saturday. That's an early start to blow away the cobwebs or the post finals hangover!!! Are you only doing the 800?
The Satellites Open (Level 2) is one of the friendliest meets around the NorthWest at this time of year. My Club has tended only to send a limited number of swimmers there over the years which is a bit of a shame really.
Quality has diminished to a degree of late with the onset of Licensing and the establishment of the Level 1 Manchester Open (only a fortnight away) which takes many of the Region's top performers away from Macclesfield.
But having said that the meet should hold no fears for you. There will be a smattering of shortcourse NQT hopefuls to pace yourself upon: plus its a fast competition pool by repute with a small but adequate swimdown/warmup pool. So all in all...just what you probably want.
Good luck:fingers:
