Site problems - 15 May 2006

I sense we've been having a few problems this evening ladies and gentlemen ....

My web host advises me that there's been a problem with the database server (and as www.SwimClub.co.uk (http://www.SwimClub.co.uk) is run entirely off a database this has meant the site has been ********* since about 7.30!)

My humble apologies. Hopefully it will be service as usual shortly.

I kept getting host errors today, was it me, my machine is being replced so it had better watch out.

No i was getting them too - first time ive been able to get onto it this evening

It was a little bit troublesome yesterday.

I seem to have been getting a lot of errors recently, and may have to start looking for a new host ....

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I use heartinternet (http://www.heartinternet.co.uk/), Which are quite goods, they did have a 30 day trial at one piont. Not so good on support but the system dose work. which is more than I can say for easyspace (http://www.easyspace.com/)which I have had problems with. These a £50 charge to move your domain name from them to!

There's also fasthosts (http://www.fasthosts.co.uk/hosting/), which seam OK.
