Are ages as at 31st December 02? My little man turns 10 at the end of August.

Are there any results available on the web or you could attach from previous years' meets pls? It helps to gauge the swimmers times to recommend the meet for particular swimmers.

I would recommend the pool/facilities to anyone who has not previously visited - I've always enjoyed trips there.

Yeah, it is a nice pool - 10 years old already!
I'll try and get hold of last years results for you. Older than that may be hard to do. I'll try my best though.:)

Its a great meet and a pretty fast pool as well - I'll be there for sure!

As for standard (baz - you may disagree, but I've swum in all but 2 of these meets - showing off my great age again :D ) It used to be very high at the top end in all age groups, but still attracted a wide range of abilities. I reckon the open age group has tailed off somewhat in general standard over the last few years (probably due to the easter swimming festival in Portsmouth), but the junior age groups are still pretty competitive, and have a wide ability range.

As an example of the range of abilities, take the mens open 100 f/c final from last year - winning time 53.something  , 6th place time (me!) 60.6

PS baz, I reckon my dad still has all of the results for every meet - they are cluttering up my old bedroom at home!

How soon can you get home, process all the results and publish them on here?!:)

Aren't all meets supposed to be 'Age on the Day' now?
Will Tara be making an appearance at the meet?

Is this a requirement or just guidance though? I thought Age on teh day only applied to designated and national/district meets etc.? Surely a club can decide its own policy on ages for its own meet?

I think short notice led to us leaving it as it was for this year. Maybe next year will be different. As for tara, you'll have to ask her. Normally it would be mandatory, and she has done for the last 6/7 years I would suggest, but with Commonwealth trials only a week or two after, she may prefer not to. I'll let her answer that one for you.

I'll b there!!! Was dissapointed to miss it last year because of World Champ Trials but as it doesn't clash with the Commonwealth trials and I'll have started my taper , it will b good 2 race fast at our home pool (and break my meet record :D )
