After it was previously reported that the above meet would be in the 6 lane not deck level Felling pool in Newcastle, the venue has now apparently been changed to Cambridge. A much better pool no doubt but a lot further for me to travel :(

...but much closer for me :D :p
Its a good fast pool too, although the spectator facilties may be a little undersized for a meet of this size. Only time will tell I suppose.

When the Midland District Short Course was held there the swimming was reasonably fast however, I do remember there not being an awful lot of room on the poolside for teams.

I love Felling. It gives you a lovely warm feeling when you see a sign "Spectator numbers not to exceed 1200"!!! Great atmosphere if you have crowd on both sides or loads of room for swimmers if you use one side for them. Lovely natural light for the old camcorder. Don't know whether I'd like to leave my car outside though!!
I was wondering how many other clubs/swimmers will be suffering because of short course nationals being in september? We cut our pool time down drastically over august and i know that most other clubs seem to as well (some swimmers I have spoken to have no training at all in august!). We only get 6 1/2 hours a week (all evenings) and thats not really enough training to go to a national championships on!
