Seeing another thread which mentioned inadequate spectator provision reminded me of the Commonwealth Games for some reason.
Did anyone apply for the £90 tickets and has the lottery been drawn yet?
Picture the scene - touts frantically trying to give away bundles of Man Ure tickets as all the demand is for the Swimming sessions where Thorpe is swimming!

I must look out for competitions with tickets as prizes.
Out of interest how much would YOU be prepared to pay for a ticket ?

Not a chance!!!

I don't know who set the pricing for the sessions (was it the pool management or the ASA?) but if you're trying to encourage interest in swimming in the UK that's really not the way to do it

A number of my friends are likely to be competing, but unfortunately I will not be there to see them swim. Television is gonna be the best I can come up with ....

Me too. Me and my sisiter were quite excited at the thought of going, but we were priced right out of it. I assume demand is still high enough, as I haven't heard of shortcomings, but still!! I might have paid the £25 it costs for heats to watch the finals, but I can't stretch to £90, as you also have to include travelling/accomodation, etc.!:(

I believe ASA have an allocation of tickets that people can apply for. If you put your address as Any Street, Loughborough you have a much better chance! :D ;)
