Worcester County Swiming Association is organising a 'County Development Training Weekend' at Worcester on 24th/25th June.

Swimmer Amy Smith, Wyre Forsets SC will be invited along to show the youngsters her Commonwealth Games relay medal.

The info sent out to clubs mentions that Mark Rose, head coach from Derventio Excel, will be taking the pool sessions.

Worcester County Swimming Association has missed a golden opportunity by not knowing that Mark Rose himself has world championship gold medals in his possession.

I know which would impress me the most if I was a young age-grouper.

Worcestershire has been the poor relation in Midlands swimming for many, many years. Clearly, there is still room for improvement.

Hi , we are going to Worcester tomorrow, ( Emo swimming for Staffs) against Worcs, Glouces in the Three Counties Gala.
Going on the coach with the team, as last time at Worcester was not a good experience for me , I came home with a speeding fine on the ring road!.................... 34 in a 30 zone.....
Good luck to all tomorrow...

Cheers Emosmum.

Hi ,
Just wondered if anyone fom Gloucs county on the forum ?
We went to Worc for a Three Counties gala last Sunday ... but it wasnt until we arrived that we were told that Gloucs team weren't coming.............Staffs won by the way...
Apparently holding their Districts/Regionals later than other regions ie last weekend , was a week later than others .. ?
Anyone know whats going on ? I thought all Regional Age Groups were held on the same weekends.. and wouldnt they be cutting it fine if any NQT'S were gained there , in getting them to ASA for Nationals closure date! ...

A Bemused .. Emosmum
