Training fins .... not usually something I get excited about, but I'm gonna try!
For different technical reasons (which I genuinely don't know or understand - I like them because they make me kick faster!) more and more coaches are now incorporating fins (or flippers) into their training sessions. Whether it's to build up leg strength, increase ankle flexibility or to allow swimmers of all abilities to concentrate on their arm stroke/hand placement, fins are now an essential element of the swimmers kit bag.
These particular fins (fins = small blade, flippers = long blade) must be one of the most popular styles on the poolside today. They fit easily into your kitbag, they're a nice colour and they're fins .... what more do you need to know!
Made of a soft silicone rubber, the fins are very flexible and comfortable enough to wear for long kicking sets. My only concern is that they don't make me kick fast enough .... I'm still at the back of the lane!
Summary
For £14.99 you get a well made, comfortable and stylish pair of fins. You might not be the only person in your squad wearing a pair though!
SwimClub.co.uk Rating - 9 out of 10.
