English Heritage have teamed up with ALGAO and IHBC to develop the Heritage Gateway website.
ALGAO stands for Association of Local Govt. Archaeological Officers
http://www.algao.org.uk
IHBC is the Institute of Historic Building Conservation; (gone are the days when one could just swim!)
News about the Lido Recording Project can be found on http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/News/NewsItem1.htm
It gives lidos a formal heritage status which they didn't have before and which i hope very much will protect them a bit; outdoor pools are still being lost: Malmesbury in Wiltshire being the latest demolition job.
