I am a compettitive swimmer at Columbia University in New York City and I plan on studying in London during the summer. I am hoping to find a challenging program to train with while in England. I have been swimming for about 15 years now at a national level in the US, so I am looking for a club with rigorous practices. Hopefully someone can help me out!! Thanks!

Where exactly in London? It's a big place, you know!;)
Try www.pullbuoy.co.uk - they have a 'clubfinder' I believe.:D

Thank you for the site. Coming from another big city, I definitely understand that London is also a large metropolis. But I do not have the specifics on where exactly I will be living. I was hoping to find out about the best clubs in the area and request to live near them. Thanks!

another tack woudl be to find pools on http://www.swimmersguide.com and then find out which lcubs train there.

Two that spring to mind as possibly being at suitable level of performance (but both of which are on the outskirts of london) are Ealing (http://www.ealingsc.co.uk)/T5 London West (who have the advantage of at least some long course pool time) and Barnet Copthall

Are there any high level competitive swim clubs around the Clerkenwell residential area of London? Any insight is greatly appreciated!:)

Thanks

Nearest pool to Clerkenwell is Bethnal Green's York Hall Baths. Anyone know who trains there?

It is Bethnal Green SC (also known as the Sharks) as Chris suggested. They have a pretty good age group team i think but i'm not sure whether they have much at the senior end (i may well be doing them a disservice in saying that and will happily stand corrected!)

Thank you so much for the information. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find any website for Bethnal Green Swim Club or the Sharks. Do you know what their web address might be? Thanks!

:) Another alternative is not far from Clerkenwell is Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club. They have a website: www.cscsc.co.uk They might cater for more competitive senior training.
