This may be old news but I've just seen that they were beaten by Hull in their Speedo final. This is only their 3rd loss in 25 years (although there are very few clubs in Speedo there).
Great result for Hull and presumably Portsmouth Northsea won't be too unhappy to see them in the B final.
Who are Hull's notable swimmers?

This is going back a couple of years (maybe more), but who was the girl Hull used to have who cleaned up at pretty much everything in the North East? As I recall she disappeared completely (at least, to me she did). Any one know from that vague description?

I remember Heidi Ridley - she got 3 or 4 National age records out of 5 swims in her first year of Nationals!! She disappeared for a while, but is coming back now and made finals at age Nationals last year (I think she medalled in the Breastroke?):p

She trains at Millfield now. Seems to be becoming a breaststroke specialist.

she's still really good at IM too, I seem to remember her going pretty fast at the Commonwealth trials?
