As it seems we have Loooaads of folks on here who are 'In the know', and If, like me, are eargerly awaiting the District and National QT's to be published for next year, Just thought I would start a thread and ask that when anyone knows that they have been published or can get hold of them, would appreciate a link to them being posted on here (I guess this usually happens anyway :).... I will still keep an eye on E and W Midlands hompage....
I believe that normally it's Late October time isn't it when they normally come out (sometime after our regions Major Oak meet - well I think it was last year anyway)
Thanks All.....

Hello Hop
Usually a couple of weeks after the National times as they are all meant to be set at a proportion of the National standard. However if you check around the regions they are not all the same, or set to the same percentages.
Not much help at the moment but if I hear anything i'll let you know.

Thanks man... appreciated..... and yes I had heard the times were different around the regions. I have also heard that the midland QT's are one of the toughest (heard from someone who used to be in the Yorkshire region) - not sure if there is any truth in it.... anyway - perhaps a discussion for another thread if necessary....

No they aren't. It would simply be impractical to impose this sort of restriction as the regions are too different in terms of population density and available facilities. It is up to individual regions to set their own qualification times.

Yeah Emosmum - I guess in the mean time, just keep a note of any times achieved in a licensed meet and where they were done and when the official times are published, it might be a nice surprise... :fingers:

"There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man.
It is a dimension as vast as space and timeless as infinity.
It is the middle ground between light and shadow,
between science and superstition,
and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge.
This is the dimension of imagination.
It is an area which we call . . . the Midland Region"

Although I have not checked every one, the ones I have looked at for these 2007 times are all slower than 2006 Midland regions QT's - Be nice if this represents whats to come for Midlands - Put a smile on alot of kids faces (Yes I do appreciate all regions are different - it's just an observation thats all) :)

Qualifying times are in 25m pools because so few clubs have acsess to 50m swims, its fairer to use 25m times, Or so I believe

Qualifying times are based on the type of pool that the previous round is expected to be held in. County championships are expected to be held in 25m pools so short course entry times are used for regional events.
