Will we be sending a team to the European Championships in Berlin this summer, (25/7 - 4/8) given that the Commonwealths run from the 26-31/7?!?!
Maybe some of the team will go out afterwards for what events remain, or an alternative team could be sent. Possibly a young team ould get some experience, or any who don't make the Commonwealth team (say due to injury) could be given a 'wild-card' to compete in Germany?

just had a look at the rankings and it's probablygoing to be a very small team that does to tht euro champs - for example, the 930 IPS time for men's 100 free is 50.80 l/c  ; top ranked 17/18 year old in the country? 52.85. 'nuff said.

I'ts not so bad in the girls 100 free, but I would suggest that the two girls that make the time Vicky Cook and Nicola Jackson, may well be otherwise occupied in Manchester...:)

Anyone know who has been selected for this tour, it should have been announced by now:
from the selection policy

The team will be selected following the British Long Course Championships (“The Trials”) which will be held on 10 - 15 April 2002 in Manchester and announced by not later than 22 April 2002.

Perhaps they are embarrassed about the number of people who met the criteria and thus don't want to tell anyone?
