Right know I'm using Diana racing shorts for racing the various Breastroke distances.

What's the percieved wisdom for the best type and manufacturer for these events

I wear an open back kneeskin Diana suit. I am female so I can wear an open back, but it's really up to you and the best fit. The fastest breaststroker in the world wears Nike jammers. A lot of the Brits wear Diana and others wear Speedo. Diana fits me and I feel better in it than Speedo.

Oh yeah, and a teammate of mine wears Diana legs because he has very hairy legs and refuses to shave down. He wore Speedo fastskin trunks one week and did 1.11 for 100 breaststroke then wore the Diana legs and did 1.09 for the first time the week later. Same pool too!

Full length legs. I don't find they inhibit my movements at all.

I really liked the Adidas shorty thing, I'm sure it had a technical name but that eludes me, yet another senior moment, have to make do with a Speedo bodyskin/fastskin which I don't think is as good
