Which online swimming retailers have you used?
Did your order arrive as expected? Any problems, delays?
Who did you use?

I've used Lane4 once or twice.
A little expensive because of the postage from the states, but pretty good other than that.

I've used:
Allens (http://www.allensswimwear.co.uk) : pretty good on 2 occasions, a bit slow on another, but generally helpful
and swimrite (http://www.swimrite.co.uk) : once - very helpful, very efficient and the only place I found with fastskins in stock
Also there is another one called paddlers (http://www.paddlers.co.uk) ; never used them, as they haven't been around very long.
I dont; think there are any more UK swimming e-tailers - anyone know any different?

This page has alot of useful links::idea:
http://www.swimsite.org.uk/links/sshops.htm
If I was to recommend somewhere, it would probably be Allens. They were very good. That's the only place I have bought swimming equipment online.

For technical swimming equipment for swimmers, coaches and swimming clubs you should visit www.swimtecheartrateuk.com.
The company sell a wide range of heartrate monitors; stopwatches; Speedo wristwatches; Aquapacers and much much more.
Delivery is very fast and very reliable!
When ordering please quote rogant stard!

I use ASCTA for videos, they are cheaper inc. postage than buying them here in the UK. Don't forget I have over 50 vids for hire, the only cost is the postage.:rainbow: ;) :) :flash: :joker: I love the smilies

Okay, 2 things:
1. Rogant, that link doesn't seem to work. I'm afraid I don't have a clue what it's supposed to say either so I can't figure out how to correct it.
2. Julia, have you got a website or something where we can see what videos you have available; I'm definitely interested!

Hey Fishy:
Swim Tec Heart Rate UK
Let me know if you are still struggling to read that and I will explain it further.
Thought a man (?) of your ability would have been able to work that out and realise that web addresses do not end with full stops.
;)

Sorry guys, I never even noticed the trailing full stop. :o
I was trying to make it read as:
- Swim Teacher Rate UK
As in a special rate (price) for UK swimming teachers; I never could understand that Scottish accent ;)
Cheers both.

How dare you!!
Scottish accent? I've probably got a pretty similar accent to you Fishboy!
Anyway, visit the site and get ordering (and quoting!)
;)

Nah, I've got way too many stop watches and HR monitors lying around the house thanks. I'll put a link on my site though.
BTW, is that your real name or some bizarrely coded anagram.

Thanks for the link - my 'boss' will be happy!
No, not my real name but I couldn't possibly tell you what it means though it isn't really THAT hard to work out (NOT an anagram) - it's a monicker (self penned) from my swimming days.
Happy decoding!

Ooh .... I've got it :D
And you seem like such a nice bloke

Now here's a spooky coincidence.
What happens as I'm walking to the changing rooms after training this evening: my coach hands my an envelope and asks me to evaluate the usefulness of the enclosed PC link up kit for HR monitors. Not to mention, do I think it would be useful for us to buy stroke rate monitors for everyone in the club.
I kid you not!
Looking on the back of the envelope I spy an address sticker for (what I now know to be) SwimTec Heartrate UK
How well connected are you with this company?

Very well connected thanks!
Call me an agent if you will.
Those envelopes get around don't they?
Is it just Chris that's managed to work out the monicker yet?

Well I tried reading it backwards the first time I saw it: no joy.
I considered incrementing each letter by one: but couldn't be bothered.
I then decided you were insufferably arrogant and gave up :p

Back on track though, how about this store:
I've never used them so can't comment about service, etc.
Oh, Mr Stard, your assistant looks a little like Prince William  (or maybe it's just the smile).

Just looking at your site. I'm assuming you're TJ so your assistant must be AR. It's a talent I have for seeing similarities between people who look nothing like each other, but I think AR's smile looks disturbingly similar to Prince William's. Forget I ever mentioned it, cos no one else I've pointed it out to agrees.

All very good except that it's fatally flawed in that your initial assumption was wrong - try again!
But now you mention it Alan does look a little like PW in that pic - I'll be sure to mention it to him (Alan that is). ;)
Going back to the original subject.....apologies for interupting!!!

I was looking for somewhere that stocked finger paddles so gave gogglebox a ring at 2pm yesterday, ordered the paddles and they came this morning!! Not only that but no P + P charges!! :D

Damn, you could have got finger paddles from Swimtec(HeartrateUK) too - and got them in the same timeframe.
Next time eh?
Ok, next time! If only I'd known!!! That will be because we haven't had one of those envelopes!!

Ok, well if you want to give me your details I'll make sure one gets out to you. You can also visit the www.swimtecheartrateuk.com website but don't think the paddles etc are on there yet.
