Fly Training

My swimmers do most of their fly work (all squads) using fins. When swimmers are swimming first stroke I have a rule: Fly swimmers never ask if they can use fins. I always feel that swimming fly with good technique using fins is better than poor technique without. What do you think?

but fly specialists need to do some 'race conditions' training as well, ie without fins - since you obviously can't race with them on!
