As I understand it, Fred Kirby is in post as English Talent and Development Coach for North East Region and Yorkshire.
The ASA/BS website is advertising a job vacancy for T&D Coach seemingly confined to NE only. Is this a job split or is Fred moving on?

Edit: add link to job vacancy page

Fred's resignation was announced at a coaches meeting last tuesday, hence the vacancy.

Thats a bit of a surprise looking on from a distance as I do, given that he has only been in post for 3 months or so and that the Regional T&D Coaches are part of the ASA new Big Idea to promote development just under the World Class Development List of Athletes.
Does this development indicate something amiss with the system or is it a good new move for Fred Kirby? (whom I have met and found to be a sound and knowledeable chap.)

I dont think you should read anything untoward into Fred's resignation. Good coach who has been around for some considerable time and appears to be well respected. Hopefully will have a long and happy retirement.

Fred has resigned due to family health problems.
