..what happened to Darren Mew in the relay? Am I reading it correctly? - 27.19 for 50m short course, and the 2nd leg of the relay at that... Or was he just saving himself for later, given that they would qualify comfortably?

oops - just spotted the little qualifying "medley" in the title... so I take it all back...

Interesting to see the reaction times and the difference that these might make to the overall results - it is an aspect of training that deserves more attention...

David Carry 3:50 in the 400 free, well off the pace needed to reach the final. I know the swimmers are supposedly training straight through this meet, but it makes me wonder what the point is of even turning up if they're not going to rest enough to be competitive?

...but on a positive note there were some good swims from the 200 fly girls, the 200 bk and 100 br boys and various others
