Scottish Swimming held its winter nationals just last weekend in Toll Cross pool in Glasgow. Normally a short course affair, it was changed to long course this year in order to be used as the first qualifying opportunity for Scottish swimmers to make the Commy Games.
In addition to the pre-selected Ian Edmond, Gregor Tair, Graeme Smith and Alison Sheppard the following added the names to the list at the weekend:
Karen Nisbet - 200 and 400 free
Kirsty Thompson - 200 back (does anyone know if this was her first visit to Scotland since the last Commy Games?)
David Carry - 200 and 400 I.M.
Kisrty Balfour - 200 Breast (new Scottish record of 2:30.78)
The British Nationals / English Trials provide the nexxt opportunity for Scots to get on the team followed by the GP Final in May and Super GP in June.
