Just noticed that the 11 year boys long course time for 400m freestyle is faster than the short course time.. Do you think this is a mistake or not? If not - why not - I do not understand - please explain in words of one syllable!!

It's because the LC and SC times are calculated independently I think.

So although I am pretty sure it is right, I don't think it is proper - see here (http://www.swimclub.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=71101&postcount=31)

Hmmm
I see what you mean - although as you say it is crazy as you could be going to nationals in the event via entering a short course time , and may not be able to meet the long course time.. Why not just make them both harder?

Had not noticed this one but have wondered why the short course times are not an exact conversion from the long course on the Equivalent Performance Tables on the ASA site, never wanted to show my ignorance by asking !!
