So, we have the debate on whether to put swimmers parents into room 101.
Who would you nominate to also go to this room and why? Further to that, who would you save, and why?
I save Bully as he lightens my day with all his comments here and if there is no pc in room 101 I'd miss him.

I'd like to go in with you, Spidey. I think it would be fun, just the two of us.

George Bush Jr.
Bigots and racists.
Arrogant tourists who visit other countries and expect to have lunch at 12 and dinner at 6 pm.
Non-Brits who always say English food is awful.
George Bush Sr.
I could go on but I need to pause for breath.

I am English and proud of it, having worked for P&O Cruises for over 3 years having travelled round the world, I get really p*****d off when I hear people moaning about this country, if you don't like it go and live in Cairo, Istanbul or Bombay perhaps then yoy might shut up.
And thanks Spidey for these very sincere heart warming words, it almost makes me feel proud to be a nuisance!!!

Agree with every one of those Speedy - carry on, if you've got your breath back!!! :)

Believe me, as soon as I've raised the wherewithal I'll be outta Britain for good - on the first plane to somewhere warm and sunny, where I'm not made to feel a criminal just 'cos I want to swim in a river or a lake. And where I don't have to depend on my cold-hardening for ten months of the year
I'm not joking - I'm deadly serious. For me the UK IS Room 101.

Sorry Wildy, can't agree with you on this. Too much cold water has clearly affected your thinking.
Why do you think so many people are anxious to leave their homeland to settle here? Britain's the best place to live, by far.
Even Guildford is better than some towns in many third world countries.

The Algarve? The Spanish Costas? Greece? Italy? Malta? The Canaries? Madeira? just a few (hardly Third World) EU destinations. If Britain is so great, why are thousands of Brits leaving the British cold and drabness for the sun every year?
And the sooner I join them, the better. Hopefully it'll be time for me to open the door of Room 101 and escape.

Only Wildnutter is doing this correctly. If you want to nominate some poor sod for a McCoy Orwellian you have to select their worst nightmare too (RoSPA's ordeal in ordure, the other 101 thread).
Let's say you chuck Rueth and Speedy in, they have already selected the people they would most like to see in there, so you would assume they are the people they would least like to be in there with. So who or what would accompany the nominated Bush clan etc? I doubt it would be one of them, the other could arguably claim permanent residency.
It's pointless just nominating without at least having the imagination to make the suffering worthwhile.
I can't think of any person I would want in there in real life, but after reading an outstanding and thoroughly recommended publication just this weekend, for a laugh and for starters, in would go NVF with Roger Irrelevant, Stevie_K with Closet Casey Jones, Juicy with the Fat Slags and Bully with Millie Tant.
Blob's top tip - Avoid being a builder in Guildford.

OK then.
George Bush would have to go in Room 101 in February 2003 with a big report that is entitled "There are definitely no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq"; several gay couples who want to get married and Fidel Castro/Evo Morales/Hugo Chavez.
Non-brits who complain about English food would have to share 101 with Jamie Oliver.
I'll have to think about the other ones.

I don’t understand this Speedy G. Are you putting them in there because they want to get married, or so that they can hold their wedding ceremony in the room? It’s hard enough for us girls to find men that are sensitive, caring, and able to cook, so please don’t lock them all away with their boyfriends. *
Juicy with the Fat Slags
Okay, Blob, I’m Juicy, but who are the F.S’s? (Maybe it’s an accurate description of them, but being a lady I can’t bring myself to repeat it). And besides, I like F.S’s so it would be no hardship for me. In fact I would relish the thought of being lost in rolls and rolls of fat.

Instant guide to the Fat Slags:
1.) Go to your nearest WH Smith or other newsagent
2.) Look on the top of the news-stands for Viz
3.) Provide yourself with a copy of said publication and take to checkout.
4.) Go home (or back to work) make a cup of coffee, open magazine and enjoy.

They're in there to annoy Dubya.

Exactly.
I have nothing against gays and in fact if they had to go into room 101 to rile Mr Bush I would make sure they get the penthouse room 101 complete with cordon-bleu room service 24 hours a day, all mod-con facilities - an empty 8 lane swimming pool heated to 26.5º and gym with all the latest in high technology machines; access to a platinum Visa and to all designer shops.
In fact it is very tempting. If it wasn't for the fact I would have to put up with Dubya I could well make the leap myself.

I didn't realise Viz was still around! It was considered very racey in my day. So much so it was a student's staple literature.
