Just to let you all know, I went down to Crystal Palace this morning, where the ASA has been holding an orientation camp for english swimmers ranked in the worlds top 16, and was able to interview 7 of the swimmers there (well I actually interviewed 8, but forgot to start the recording for 1 doh! ).
I also managed a quick chat with Bill Sweetenham himself :D  :D He is a really nice man.
Look out for a feature on the camp and the interviews on pullbuoy over the next week or so. I'll probably also put up some of the interviews for download, if there's enough interest.

I was at the camp for 3 days at the start of the week so I will certainly be interested to hear what they had to say in relation to my own thoughts of them. Looking forward to it already Steve.

You'll be able to find all of the features and interviews at http://www.pullbuoy.co.uk/special as I write them up. There's a list of the interviews to come on the page at the moment.

City of Coventry Head coach and former GB international swimmer Jo Deakins reports from the national Speedo League A final. If you've already read the report, look again, we've added some pictures from the final.

Well she is according to their website (http://www.coventry-swimming.org.uk/officials/index.htm).
Nick Sellwood (who originally I thought was the head coach) is the National Squad Coach. Deaks coaches what Coventry call 'A' and 'AA' squads.

Just to clarify my position, my title is Head Coach and Nick Sellwoods is Director of Coaching.
I basically run the daily workings of the club, junior squads, administration issues, team selections, basically everything that any Head Coach would do in any club. I also coach my own squad of swimmers that are Midland district standard or better, along with any other cover of squads that need doing.
Nick has overall control on any club business and everything goes through him (and the committees). He also looks after the Senior side of our club programme and also deals with things like ASFGB issues and Development roles.
We have worked this way for 2 and a half years now and we think things are working well together, although like any club there are always hiccups along the way....
cheers
Deaks
